Louis Eugene Challet

Louis Eugene Challet, 80, of Lenox, MI, formerly of Dowell and West City, passed away on April 29, 2004 at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens, MI.
Louis had worked for thirty-eight years, retiring in 1985, as a Field Technicians Manager at National Cash Register.  He was of the Methodist faith.  He was a U.S. veteran of W.W. II serving in Europe as a fighter pilot in the Seventy-Ninth Fighter Squadron.  
He was born October 26, 1923 at Dowell, IL, the son of Albert and Ella Redora (Dennis) Challet.
He married Adeline Krause and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter - Deborah Challet of Lenox, MI, one sister - Pat Wesen of Monee, IL and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter - Kathleen Howell and one sister - Betty Orlandini.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Carl Mesiti officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
